The fishtail plait isn’t a new trend, but it’s a hairstyle I currently love. Its versatility is great. You can wear it messy during the day and sleek at night or for work.
It’s a relatively easy style to achieve. I would suggest wearing it on the side to modernise the look rather than letting it hang down your back.

How to:
1. Split your hair into two parts
2. Take a small piece from the outside of one of the parts and cross over to the inside of the other part.
3. Take a small piece from the outside of the second part and cross to the inside of the first part.
4. Repeat points 2 and 3 until you have two inches of hair left unplaited.
5. Tie the end with a clear elastic or one which matches your hair colour.
6. If you’d like a messier plait, pull each fold wider.
7. Voilà!

La tresse de poisson en queue n’est pas une nouvelle tendance, mais elle est une style que j’aime beacoup en ce moment! Sa polyvalance est magnifique. On peut la porter plus élimée pendant la journée ou elle peut être plus laisse et brillante pendant la soirée ou pour le travail.
C’est une style assez facile à atteindre. Je suggérerais de porter la tresse sur l’épaule pour moderniser le style, plutôt que la porter sur la dos.
La coiffure travaillera très bien pour les fêtes de noël qui approchent. Elle dure d’une manière fantastique quand il pleut, donc il ne faut pas s’inquieter si la pluit ruinerait la coiffure avant d’arriver à la fête.
Pour une capacité à suprendre, on pourrait tresser les cheveux le long de la tete et transformer la reste des cheveux en une tresse en poisson de queue.

Der Fischgrätenzopf ist keinen neuen Trend aber ich libe ihn im Moment! Seine Vielfähigkeit ist wunderbar. Man kann ihn unordentlich während des Tages tragen oder er kann geschmeidig während der Nacht oder für die Arbeit sein.
Er ist eine Frisure, die leicht an erreichen ist. Ich würde vorschlagen, dass man diese Frisur über die Schulter trägt, um ihn zu modernieseren.

J’ai lu récemment que la peau blanche n’est plus à la mode. Je suis une personne avec la peau très blanche et cette idée m’a vraiment énervée. Je ne crois pas que le teint de peau doive jouer un rôle dans la mode.
Les produits de bronzage et les bancs solaires deviennent de plus en plus populaires et j’encourage tout le monde d’épouser sa peau naturelle et l’améliore avec le maquillage qui l’assortit et pas la changer.
Voici une liste des conseils de maquillage qui va aux femmes de la peau blanche avec des exemples des célébrités:
1. Créer une page blanche
La peau blanche a une tendance à souligner les imperfections plus que la peau bronzée, donc un anti-tache et un fond de teint sont nécessaires pour résoudre des irrégularités et des tache de décoloration. Pour le fond de teint de sembler le plus professionnel que possible, il faut utiliser un pinceau.
2. Souligner son beauté

After an amazing two months of being on the go my skin definitely felt some after effects. My complexion was dull and was in need of a good taking care of. The first place I looked for help was Lush Cosmetics. For me, Lush is a company renowned for its products that aim to make the best out of your skin, using all natural ingredients.
After speaking to a lovely lady who works at my local store, I picked up the catastrophe face mask. With ingredients of blueberries, chamomile, Irish moss and calamine, this masks aims to calm and soothe the skin whilst ridding of any dirt and dead skin cells.
For only £6.50 you get 75g, about 2 weeks worth of masks, although I don’t use it everyday, more likely every couple of days. What I love is the fact that all the ingredients are natural so you know your not putting any harsh chemicals onto the skin. I also feel that every time I use the mask my skin feels like it’s had a deep clean and has been refreshed.
I would give this mask 4 stars out of 5, only losing one star because I’m waiting to see what the long term effects of the mask are. However for right now it has become a favourite in my skincare routine and a product I will be repurchasing.
We all know it’s important to cleanse, tone and moisturise, but many of us overlook exfoliation when it comes to our beauty regime. It is, however, in some ways the most important step because allows the other three processes to function more efficiently. The reason for this is due to the skin’s cell renewal.
As our skin renews, older skin cells, which sit on the upper layer of the skin (the epidermis), die as new skin cells are produced in the dermis (the lower layer of the skin) and are sent to the surface. The dead skin cells, which sit on the surface of the skin create dullness, which in turn makes the skin appear less radiant. This can also lead to clogged pores, which cause blemishes.
A lack of radiance and blemishes are not the only issues. If dead skin cells are just left to sit on the skin’s surface and continue to pile up, serums and moisturisers cannot function as well as they are designed to. This is because the dead skin cells act as a barrier, which treatments are unable to pass. Cleansing and toning will remove some of the skin cells, but not enough to dramatically improve radiance and treatment skincare’s efficiency.
It is recommended to use an exfoliator or scrub three to four times a week. It is possible to overexfoliate, so if you find yourself suffering with irritated and red skin afterwards, it is too harsh for your skin. There are different kinds of exfoliator around for all skin types. Here are four suggestions:
Today there are so many cleansers about by so many brands, it’s nearly impossible to know which one is right for you. There are, however, a few tips you can follow:
Are you a busy person who has very little time to dedicate to an involved skincare regime? If so, this doesn’t mean you have to abandon looking after your skin all together. It just means a cleanser, which you tissue off will be most suited to your needs. You can have it sitting on your bedside cabinet with cotton pads at the ready and do it just before you go to sleep.
If you are a person who has time to spend in the bathroom on your skincare, a wash-off cleanser might be a better option, however, you must also consider your skin type.
In the UK we don’t tend to decorate the house other than at Christmas. Our homes remain the same through Spring, Summer and Autumn, which is a shame. As I’ve mentioned before, I used to live in Germany and the Germans like to decorate their houses for every season, adding character to their homes all year round. Wreaths frequently grace front doors, decorated with symbols of each season; eggs in Spring, mushrooms in Autumn etc.
This year, I have decorated my own wreath. It requires little effort, but looks really effective. I bought a wooden wreath for £6.00 from Homesense and bought small autumnal decorations (mushrooms, pinecones, orange berries and leaves). I also bought a squirrel decoration whose auburn colour is very autumnul. I also purchased gift ribbon from LIDL whose check design is very popular in autumnal Germany.
I began by threading the ribbon through the twigs, making sure the gaps are evenly spread. Once this was done, I placed the mushrooms in gaps, applying enough pressure so that they won’t fall out. I then added the berries and pinecones, making sure not to leave any gaps. Finally, I added my squirrel, tying it down with floss…yes, floss! It’s extremely hard-wearing and saves you going out to buy florist or picture wire. I placed leaves under the squirrel’s feet and my work was complete! It really is as simple as that.
All that was left to do was to hang the wreath. I used rustic-looking string, but you can use floss again if you wish.
This simple. yet effective decoration brightens up your front door on a grey autumn day.

En Grande Bretagne on n’a pas le tendence de décorer nos maisons sauf que Noël. Nos maisons restent la même pendant le printemps, l’été et l’automne, ce quiest dommage. Comme j’ai déjà mentionné, j’habitais en Allemagne et les Allemands aiment décorer leurs maisons pour chaque saison, ils ajoutent de caractère à leurs maisons toute l’année. Des couronnes honorent frequemment les portes d’entrées et sont décorées avec des symboles de chaque saison; les oeufs pour le printemps, les champignons pour l’automne.
Cette année j’ai décoré ma propre couronne d’automne. Il demande un peu d’effort, mais semble très efficace. J’ai acheté une couronne en bois pour £6.00 (environ 8euros) chez Homesense et j’ai acheté quelques petites décorations d’automne (champignons, pommes de pin, baies oranges et feuilles). J’ai également acheté un petit écureuil qui possède un couleur très automnal. J’ai aussie acheté de ruban chez LIDL qui a un motif à carreaux et il est très populaire pendant l’automne en Allemagne.
J’ai commencé la couronne en enfilant le ruban à travers les brindilles. Je m’assaurai que les trous sont également séparés. Le moment où cela à été fait, j’ai mis les champignons dans les trous, j’ai appliqué assez de pression pour qu’ils ne puissent pas tomber. Après j’ai ajouté les baies et les prommes de pin, assurant qu’il n’y avait pas de trous. Enfin j’ai ajouté l’écureuil et je l’ai attaché avec le fil dentaire…oui, le fil dentaire! Il est très solide et il ne faut pas sortir afin d’acheter le fil du cadre ou de fleuriste. J’ai mis les feuilles sous les pieds d’écureuil et j’ai fini mon travail! C’est si simple.
La seule chose qui est resté à compléter était la tenture de la coronne. J’ai utilisé la ficelle du style rustique, mais on peut aussi utiliser le fil dentaire, si on souhaite.
Cette décoration simple, mais efficace illumine chaque porte d’entrée au jour d’automne gris.

In der Vereinigte Königreich dekoriert man nicht das Haus außer Weihnachten. Unsere Häuser bleiben gleich durch Frühling, Sommer und Herbst, was klar eine Schade ist. Wie ich vorher geschrieben habe, wohnte ich in Deutschland und die Deutscher mögen ihre Häuser jeder Jahreszeit dekorieren, das Charakter durch das Jahr bringt. Kränze werden oft von Haustüren gehängt, jeden Kranz hat Symbolen, die jeder Jahreszeit repräsentiert, Eier in Frühling und Pilze in Herbst usw.
Dieses Jahr habe ich meinen eigenen Kranz dekoriert. Er braucht wenige Anstrengung, aber sieht sehr auswirkungsvoll aus. Ich habe den Holzkranz in Homesense für 6 Pfund (ungefähr 8Euro) gekauft. Ich habe auch kleine Herbstdekorationen gekauft (Pilze Kiefernzapfen, Orange Beeren und Blätter). Außerdem habe ich eine kleine Einhörnchendekoration gekauft, die Orangefarbe passt zu Herbst. Ich habe auch ein Geschenkband aus LIDL gekauft, das ein kariertes Design sehr beliebt in Deutschland während Herbst ist.
Erstmal habe ich den Band durch den Zweigen eingefäldet. Ich habe mich versichert, dass die Lücke gleichmäßige getrennt geworden sind. Danach habe ich alle Pilze in Lücken gestellt. Ich habe genug Druck genutzt, sodass sie nicht ausgefallen sind. Dann habe ich die Beeren und Kieferenzapfen hinzugefügt, ohne Lücke zu lassen. Endlich habe ich den Einhörnchen mit Zahnseide festgebunden…ja Zahnseide! Sie ist widerstandsfähig und man muss nicht ausgehen, um Wandbehänge- oder- Blumenhändlerseide zu kaufen. Ich habe Blätter unter den Füßen des Einhörnchens gestellt und meine Arbeit wurde zum Ende gebracht. Es ist einfach!
Ich musste nur den Kranz hängen. Ich habe rustikale Korde genutzt, aber man kann auch Zahnseide nutzen, wenn man Lust darauf hat.

The supermarket LIDL is becoming more and more popular and its weekly offers attract many customers. Having lived in Germany I am a big fan of LIDL and its quality products, so when I saw its exceptionally priced Macadamia Oil Extract range, I was very excited to try it.
Macadamia oil is very much on trend at the moment, with many brands launching new products containing the nut oil. The oil is very similar to hair sebum and moisturises in a very natural way. LIDL has understandably jumped on the bandwagon, allowing customers to sample the new trend without breaking the bank. The array of haircare consists of shampoo, conditioner, mask and treatment…the works. The products are chicly packaged in black containers with white and gold embellishments. This stylish packaging makes the haircare look much more expensive than it actually is. The four products work very well together and have transformed my hair into soft, luscious locks. I have blonde highlights, which has made my hair porous and sometimes dry. This means I need to look after my hair and this can prove to be expensive. LIDL has made quality haircare accessible to people on a budget.
I like all products in the range, but my two favourites are the conditioner and the hair mask. Obviously, both aren’t necessary every time you wash your hair, but they work well as a team. I use the mask twice a week, slathering my hair in the beautiful scented product, leaving it on for 10 minutes to work its magic. The moment you start to wash it out, your hair feels sublime. Surprisingly, you achieve similar results with the everyday conditioner, so silky hair days don’t just happen when you have the time to treat yourself. I do sometimes leave the conditioner on for a few minutes for a little midweek treat.
The shampoo cleanses and refreshes hair without stripping it of natural oils. A small amount goes a long way because it lathers well. The hair treatment gives hair an extra needed oomph and is used after shampooing and conditioning. It is added to towel-dried hair before blowdrying. It tames flyways and leaves my hair looking glossy, but you do have to be careful with the amount you use. The first time I used this my hair felt a little greasy, but I admittedly used more than the directions suggested because the product flows vey quickly from the bottle. From then on I made sure to pour carefully and use less and I have no complaints. It doesn’t slow down the blowdrying process or leave my hair with a sticky residue.
I absolutely love this haircare range. It is rare that I find a selection where I like all of the products. The only disappointing aspect about it is that it is not regularly stocked in LIDL stores. It is one of their weekly offers. It has, however, already made a return. I first purchased it in July and was happy to discover it was back in store in September. After having only bought a few bottles in July to try, I made sure to stock up in September for the next time it hopefully comes back in store.
I give the range four stars. The only reason it doesn’t get five is because it can’t be bought on a regular basis. I hope that LIDL decided to make it one of its regulars! In my opinion, it competes with any well-known brand.

Le supermarché LIDL devient de plus en plus populaire et ses offres hebdomadaires attirent beaucoup de clients. J’habitais en Allemagne donc je suis un grand fan de LIDL et ses produits de qualité, donc le moment où j’ai trouvé son gamme d’huile de noix de Macadamie pour les cheveux, j’étais très passionnée d’essayer les produits bon marchés.
L’huile de noix de Macadamie est à la mode en ce moment et maintenant plusieurs marques lancent des nouveaux produits qui contiennent l’huile. Elle ressemble au sébum de cheveux et hydrate en façon naturelle. Il est donc facile à comprendre la raison pour laquelle LIDL a introduit une gamme d’huile qui permet les gens d’utiliser la tendance sans mettre les personnes à sec. La gamme pour les cheveux consiste en un shampooing, un après-shampooing, une masque et un traitement…tous dont on a besoin! Les produits sont chic emballé en récipients noirs avec des embellissements blancs et ors. Cet emballage à la mode rend ces soins capillaires d’avoir une apparence plus chère qu’elles sont. Les quatre produits marchent très bien ensemble et ont transformé mes cheveux en des cheveux doux pulpeux. J’ai des mèches blondes ainsi mes cheveux peuvent être secs et poreux. À cause de cela j’ai besoin de prendre soin de mes cheveux et cela peut coûter cher. LIDL a introduit des soins capillaires de qualités à petits prix.
J’aime tous les produits de la gamme, mais mes préférés sont l’après-shampooing et la masque. Manifestement les deux ne sont pas nécessaires chaque fois que l’on se lave les cheveux, mais ils marchent bien en groupe. J’utilise la masque deux fois par semaine, en étalant le produit sur mes cheveux en le laissant pendant dix minutes pour qu’elle puisse fonctionner. Le moment où on commence à délaver, les cheveux sentent sublimes. Etonnamment on a des résultats similaires avec l’après-shampooing, donc des jours de bons cheveux ne se passent pas quand on n‘a que de temps pour traiter soi-même. Je laisse l’après-shampooing sur mes cheveux pendant quelques minutes pour un mini soin.
Le shampooing nettoie mes cheveux sans enlever des huiles naturelles. Une petite somme fait une grande différence car il mousse bien. Le traitement des cheveux donne les cheveux un je ne sais quoi supplémentaire et est utilisé après le shampooing et l’après-shampooing. Il est ajouté aux cheveux qui est séché avec une serviette avant se faire un brushing. Il contrôle les cheveux rebelles et rend mes cheveux brillants, mais il faut prendre soin avec la somme que l’on utilise. La première fois que je l’ai utilisé, j’ai eu l’impression que mes cheveux étaient graisses, mais il faut que j’admette que j’ai utilisé plus qu’ils ont suggéré car il coule vitement du bouteille. Dès ce moment j’ai pris caution de verser le liquide doucement et je ne peux pas me plaindre. Il ne ralentit pas le processus du faire un brushing et ne laisse pas de résidu gras.
J’aime vraiment cette gamme des soins capillaires. C’est rare que l’on trouve une sélection où on aime tous les produits disponibles. Le seul aspect décevant est qu’elle n’est pas toujours disponible dans les magasins de LIDL. Elle fait partie d’un offre hebdomadaire. Elle est déjà retournée, cependant. Je l’ai déjà achetée et j’étais contente de découvrir qu’elle était encore dans les magasins en septembre. Je n’ai qu’acheté quelques bouteilles en juillet afin d’essayer les produits, donc je m’assura que j’ai acheté plus jusqu’au première fois qu’elle se trouve aux magasins.
Je donne la gamme quatre étoiles. La seule raison qu’elle ne reçoit pas cinq est qu’elle ne peut pas être acheté régulièrement. J’espère que LIDL décide d’introduire la gamme pour de bon! I have a brother who lives in Paris and visiting him allows me to see products available in France, which have not yet arrived in the UK. NUXE Paris is one of my favourite skincare brands and I had heard about its new sister brand BIO-BEAUTE, a range of fairly-priced organic products for the face, hair and body. All products contain active fruit extracts and a minimum of 95% natural ingredients. All ingredients are certified by ECOCERT, a French, organic certification organisation. These appealing selling points made me very enthusiastic to try the brand.
I am a fan of the NUXE Rêve de Miel lip balm and was, therefore, curious to see how the BIO-BEAUTE version faired in comparison. I have to say that I am incredibly impressed. I purchased the lip butter for 5euros60 from an E.Leclerc Parapharmacie and have been using it whilst out in Paris. My lips feel smooth and soothed. The formula consists of 100% natural ingredients. It nourishes with organic peach and raspberry oils and repairs with organic apricot and shea butter. The packaging states that it has been tested in extreme conditions in Canada and its results were shown that 91% of people thought their lips were repaired, 100% deemed their lips as soothed and 96% considered their lips enhanced. I would agree with these results. My lips feel soft and full.
I have been wearing the lip balm to bed as a night-time treatment and have woken up to beautifully soft lips. The balm has a wonderful shine and I have used it on top of lipsticks and it looks lovely. It gives a subtle shimmer which catches the light beautifully. This shine comes from a combination of three sunflower botanical polyglycerides. I prefer its glossy finish to the matte one of the NUXE Rêve de Miel balm
This product is a must-have for any lady who wants soft, supple lips. It may not be able to help you find Prince Charming, but it will certainly help once he comes along. I give it five stars.

The Garnier Micellar water is a cleanser that I’ve heard all about on the blogging and YouTube scene, but have only recently got round to trying. I will admit, up until about six months ago, I was quite lazy with my skin care routine, so makeup wipes were my go to remover. The thing that put me off a number of products was that they could make cleansing quite a laborious task compared to just using a wipe and being done within minutes. This changed after trying the Micellar water after seeing just how quickly and easily it removed makeup and dirt.
This cleanser claims that it acts like a magnet to dirt and makeup, drawing it out of the skin, essentially cutting out any unnecessary scrubbing. To test the water out I waited till I had a day where I wore a lot of heavy waterproof and stubborn makeup to remove just to see whether the cleanser was worth the hype. If I’m honest, I was amazed at just how well it worked as I was prepared for it to be disappointing. All I had to do was soak a cotton pad, hold it onto the eyes and after a few seconds it just dissolved all of the makeup, making it simple to just wipe away. Like Garnier promised, no scrubbing involved!
My pre-judgement of the water was that it was going to be time consuming, something which had allocated many other skincare products to the back of my draws and made me fall back into the trap of relying on makeup wipes. I can say I had to screw up my judgment and chuck it in the bin after trying the water and ending up fresh faced and clean within minutes. I also tend not to get along with a lot of products because I have sensitive skin. I have also found that a lot of skin care that promises to be for sensitive skin and still brings me up in a rash. The water fulfils its promises and is definitely for sensitive skin and fragrance free. Another plus is it doesn’t leave an oily residue so there’s no need for rinsing.
A few other details that impressed me are that it claims to have around 200 uses, a lot more than the bog standard 20 wipes so a lot better for those purse strings. Also looking at the ingredients I can’t see any harsh chemicals or acids that in the long run will damage the delicate skin on the face. Lastly it works to hydrate the skin and not strip it which is key in keeping a youthful look.
Overall I am highly impressed with this cleanser and will definitely be repurchasing when my current one runs out. I also agree that it’s a great alternative for Bioderma, so if that’s a favourite of yours but you don’t want to pay the price, then I would invest in this product. I give this water 5 stars and highly recommend it.
